What is Memorial Arena?
By Laz-y & Roccus Terminal • April 5, 2026
Memorial arena is basically a game mode where you can wreck 2-3 bosses weekly. The boss list changes every week, finalizing your score by early Monday and refreshes by Tuesday. You have 2 SS bosses to take down weekly until you reach captain level 81+ where you get 2 SSS bosses (much tankier) and 1 SS boss per week instead.
Regardless of number of bosses, valkyries and their gears can only be deployed to one of the bosses every week once you finalize one of your bosses score with such lineups, and you’ll have to use other valkyries and gears to combat other boss(es).

Why should you play it?
For all tiers, you can get 100 crystals simply by clearing 8 bosses.
For example, if you have three bosses, you could clear difficulties C to A for two bosses (3 + 3 clears) and C to B for 1 boss (2 clears) to hit 8 clears. If you only have 2 bosses, clearing up till S difficulty for both bosses will enable you to claim the 100 crystals.
For exalted, you can get an additional 40 crystals due to the 2 SSS bosses in exalted tier having a score threshold to receive an additional 20 crystals each: 38400 and 32000 respectively (score difference due to +20% score on first boss)
To get maximum rewards from the SSS bosses, you need 46080 and 38400 respectively (again, score difference due to +20% score on first boss).
Memorial Arena Mechanics
Memorial Arena (MA) also has a timer and the objective is also like abyss, to kill boss ASAP. In MA, the chronometer needs to stay as close to 5:00 as possible to score higher. This is where the similarity between MA and abyss stops. Instead of relying on faster rotations, you rely on timer manipulation in MA. How to achieve those manipulation of the timer? -> When Evading attack you will trigger a Time Fracture, your evade button will start a timer for the next available one in the form of a blue gauge timer
- You need to read your Valkyrie entire kit to see where and how long those Time Fractures last and how they trigger
- Some Valkyries have a manual Time Fracture Integrated into their kit. Some others can trigger it with a simple dodge (no need to wait for attacks)
- Some attacks do not stop the timer using a Time Fracture or an absolute Time Stop but they extend the timer. A second takes longer to be consumed. It doesn’t mean the timer won’t go down though
- Many valkyries’ combo/charged attack animation extends MA timer. Law of Ascension valkyries’ Stellar Shifts also pauses/extends time for a certain duration.
- TIME FRACTURES DO NOT STACK. Another time fracture gets wasted if you trigger it INSIDE A PREVIOUS ONE that is NOT FINISHED.
- There is A DELAY between THE TIME FRACTURE TAKES PLACE and the TIMER “STOP”.
- Whether you have high or low FPS, it can impact your timer too.
As for ranking rewards well, they aren’t too important for casual players considering the ancient willpower isn’t as useful as it used to be and wafer stabilizer (affix locks) are only for sweaty people, and the top 2% get powerful emblems that help them sweat even harder with powerful effects (honestly, the emblem diff between top 2% and top 0.20% is not much difference, both have 2.5% elemental damage. The only difference is resist elemental damage 2.5% > 3%.)
Ancient willpower can be obtained from both ranking rewards and clear rewards, so it will only change your willpower income amount, not completely rob you of it if you don’t mald. Other notable things you get from clear rewards are ancient legacy (lvl 70+) and pri-arm materials (exalted only). Ancient willpower and ancient legacy can be used in a shop called war treasury.
Memorial Arena Scoring System
You obtain Memorial Arena score per boss on the highest tier you clear, then all score summed up to make up the total score of that week. Below level 81, it means a sum of 2 SS tier bosses’ scores, maxing out at less than 64,000 points. After breaking through beyond level 81, it means the scores of 2 SSS tier bosses plus 1 SS tier boss combined, maxing out at less than 120,000 points.
Memorial Arena’s leaderboard system involves everyone in the same server as you, the higher your score the higher you are in the leaderboard. If you score exactly the same as your peers, the rank will be decided by who reaches that score the fastest.
There is no extra crystals rewards when you are in certain leaderboard milestones, but ranking top 2% and 0.2% of the server will reward you an emblem.
War Treasury
While the value of war treasury has gone down since many of the valks are extremely dated, there are still some useful valks for SS bosses like Lightning Empress (LE), Celestial Hymn (CH), Herrscher of Sentience (HoS), Herrscher of Flamescion (HFS), Herrscher of Thunder (HoT), Fallen Rosemary (FR), Infinite Ouroboros (IO), and Molotov Cherry (MC - mainly for her augment version). However, many SS bosses have far easier 0 second clears for newer valks. Also, you can use them in Elysian Realm for crystals.
Interesting to note, Knight Moonbeam (KMB) and LE have a discounted first fragment purchase of the week at 12 ancient willpower instead of 14.
Personally, I like to continue buying maxed S rank character fragments so that I can convert them to pure witch orbs (gold orbs) to buy newer valks from pure witch orb store (this is only for old players who want to use their excess ancient willpower with nothing else to really use them for).
For example, Herrscher of Rebirth, Herrscher of Finality, Herrscher of Human Ego and Herrscher of Origin are still relatively relevant thanks to their relatively new divine keys.
How to do it? => Time Fractures, Timer Extension, Time Stop.
How to Bruteforce MA Bosses?
Unlike SD, MA bosses have no weather, so your headaches are reduced by one. MA bosses also have their own mechanics. On boss phase transitions MA timer are mostly stopped but in some ways the mechanics will annoy you, so it’s still best to bring valkyries with correct mechanics to counter MA bosses. If you can’t, then just bring valkyries that can (type) counter the boss type (check your type charts NOW!) and make sure the bosses aren’t resistant or immune to your valkyries’ damage elements.

MA Valkyrie Selection Tips
- Make sure to thoroughly plan which valkyries you want to use for each boss before committing. Once you lock the valk and her gear to a specific boss it is IRREVERSIBLE for the rest of the week.
- If there are multiple potential lineups for each boss, you might want to abuse the training mode to see which lineup feels more comfy for you first, just because there are youtube refs with a specific team, it doesn’t mean you can replicate it.
- Alternatively, thanks to the “Restart Challenge” button at the end of your runs, you don’t really need to use training mode anymore. If the score is really good, you can finalize, if not, you can restart challenge, pause and quit, the valks you used in that run will not be locked to that boss.
- Don’t be too quick to lock in because even if the team is comfy for one boss, making it slightly less comfy to make another boss less of a hell might be a better choice sometimes!
